Eli Josef’s self-titled album is supposedly his last. Why? No clue—he’s younger than me. But I have to admit, the cowboy theme is a cool choice, especially as a follow-up to his last alien-themed LP.
What I got was a simple, 34-minute album filled with fun lyrics and catchy guitar riffs. It’s nothing over-the-top, but that’s part of its charm. His whole style impresses me—there’s something effortlessly cool about the way he puts songs together. If this really is the last we hear from Eli Josef, he’s going out on a high note.
