DayGlow - DayGlow (Self titled) Review
Release Date: September 13, 2024
Sloan Struble is undeniably one of the pioneers of bedroom pop, and his self-titled Dayglow album is further proof of that. Unlike the more emotionally charged tone of his last two LPs, this record feels like Sloan simply having fun. He knows his sound, he knows how to rock, and he leans into it effortlessly.
This release seems less like a grand statement and more like an artist keeping busy—putting out consistently stellar, tightly crafted songs that hover around the three-minute mark. Nothing too wild, but it’s impossible not to notice how much his discography has grown over the past four years.
And if there’s one thing you can count on, it’s that every track will have a groovy guitar solo—because at this point, that’s just part of the Dayglow experience.
